Millions of Americans struggle with low health literacy, or the capacity to understand basic health information to make appropriate health care decisions. The Health Sciences Library has a track-record of promoting health literacy by collaborating with healthcare professionals to transform how healthcare is delivered.
The “Health Literacy: Strategies and Resources” class is offered as a collaborative effort by the Health Sciences Library and the Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice at UNC.
Presenter: Terri Ottosen, M.L.I.S., AHIP, Community Engagement & Health Literacy Librarian at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
***This class is free and open to Students, Faculty, Staff, and Practitioners***
