The 37th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Keynote Lecture and Award Ceremony featuring former Attorney General Loretta Lynch has been rescheduled and will now take place on Monday, Feb. 19, at 6 p.m. The event was postponed as a result of the University’s closing due to inclement weather. All tickets from the Jan. 18 date will be honored. If you have tickets but cannot attend on Feb. 19, please return your tickets to the Memorial Hall Box Office so others can attend.
The lecture provides an opportunity to hear from national thought leaders on the importance of social justice, unity, action, and/or service. This year, United States Attorney General Loretta Lynch will deliver the lecture. Additionally, the Keynote lecture program will include two special presentations: MLK Scholarships (awarded to a college junior) and MLK Unsung Hero Award (awarded to a UNC staff/faculty or department or a community/corporate entity).
