Structures of Inequality:
A Focused Look at Systems of Racism

Today, the longstanding realities of systemic racism are being laid bare by the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing police violence. Issues of injustice and inequality are broad, deep, and interconnected.

Honors Carolina invites the campus community to come together for six topical discussions with faculty experts and six hours of action designed to marshal knowledge in the fight against racism.

Frank Baumgartner, Richard J. Richardson Distinguished Professor of Political Science, will lecture on the topic “Systemic Racism and Criminal Justice.”

The lecture is Wednesday, September 23 @ 4 PM and the Hour of Action is Friday, October 2 @ 4 PM.
