PlayMakers Repertory Company

PlayMakers Repertory Company is the premiere professional theatre company of North Carolina, in residence at UNC-Chapel Hill.

PlayMakers Repertory Company is the LORT professional theatre company in residence at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Over the course of a 10-show season, we strive to produce entertaining, relevant, and courageous work that tells stories from and for a multiplicity of perspectives to create transformational impact in our immediate and extended communities.

Housed in the Joan H. Gillings Center for Dramatic Art, we produce our six Mainstage shows in the 550-seat Paul Green Theatre, a thrust stage seating arrangement ensuring that you’re never more than eight rows from the action. There’s not a bad seat in the house.

Our PRC² series features plays by new voices in order to provoke conversation and push the boundaries fo theatre-making, all in the 265-seat Elizabeth Price Kenan Theatre, which we share with Kenan Theatre Company. This flexible space can be set up in a number of different arrangements, so all PRC² shows are general admission.
