Carolina launches COVID-19 Student Care Hub

The new website is a one-stop-shop for guidance and information about resources related to everything from academics to financial aid to wellness.

South Building across Polk Place.

Dear Carolina Community,

Today, we are launching a new website called the COVID-19 Student Care Hub to help you — our students — stay connected with the resources you need while you’re away from campus. You’ve already done an extraordinary job transitioning to remote learning, and we thank you for your willingness to adapt during these challenging times.

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced all of us to change the way we go about our daily lives, and this website is one way we are here to help you finish the semester in the best way possible. It’s a one-stop-shop for guidance and information about resources related to everything from academics to financial aid to wellness.

This hub is also a place for you to share questions, concerns and suggestions. A dedicated team will be tracking emails, routing inquiries and finding solutions. While we cannot guarantee that every email will receive an individualized response, we will read them all. Answers to frequently asked questions will be posted on the site, and we will forward personal concerns to the appropriate offices for response.

One of the things we want to be sure you know about is how to contact our Office of Scholarships and Student Aid. Thanks to generous contributions from loyal donors, we are connecting students with the financial resources they need during this unprecedented time. Undergraduate, graduate and professional students on need-based aid or not are eligible to receive funding from the recently established Carolina Student Impact Fund. Please reach out if you need help.

In the coming days, we will also be reaching out with a survey to assess how you are doing with remote learning and other challenges you may face. Responses will help us identify what information you need and additional ways we can help. We hope all students will provide feedback.

As we’ve learned over the past few weeks, this situation continues to change rapidly. Please visit this hub for the latest information and to stay in touch with us if you need assistance. We promise you our support, and the support of our faculty and staff, every step of the way.

Sincerely,

Kevin M. Guskiewicz
