Dear Carolina Community,

Welcome to the first day of classes! Whether you’re taking classes remotely, participating in our Carolina Away program or joining us on campus, you’re a Tar Heel and an important part of our community.

In this week’s video, I want to share my thanks to our faculty and staff who worked to make this day possible. Please join me in welcoming Amy Johnson, our new Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.

As always, remember that it is our shared responsibility to keep each other safe. Every person you walk by on campus will be counting on you to diligently work to prevent the spread of the virus.

We can face this year together. Go Heels!

Sincerely,

Kevin M. Guskiewicz
Chancellor
