Dear Carolina Community,
In my latest video message, I wanted to take a moment to review where we are as we finish the fourth week of this semester and take time off for our first Wellness Days on Feb. 15 and 16.
We strongly encourage you not to travel during the wellness day breaks, as travel increases the risk of you bringing COVID-19 back to our community. If you must travel, you will be expected to test immediately upon your return and at least once more in the week following. You should also continue to practice the three Ws — wash your hands frequently, wear a face mask and wait 6 feet apart from other people. Please limit your social interactions for the following week.
None of this has been easy, but your work is making a difference. Thank you to the thousands who are adhering to our COVID-19 Community Standards and following our testing program.
Thank you and Go Heels!
Kevin M. Guskiewicz
Chancellor
