Diamond Heels claim ACC title

It was the team's first appearance in the title game since winning the title in 2019 and marks the eighth conference tournament win in program history.

Carolina baseball won its eighth ACC title in program history with a 9-5 win over NC State on Sunday afternoon. Scott Honeycutt, a first-year at UNC-Chapel Hill, hit two home runs in the win and earned tournament MVP.

It is the team’s first ACC title since 2019 and the first under head coach Scott Forbes.

The field for the 2022 NCAA college baseball championship will be announced on Monday night.
