Get your flu shot at Carolina
Multiple campus locations are now offering the influenza vaccine to the Carolina community.

Immunizations are an important prevention strategy to lower your risk, protect yourself, and help keep your community healthy from the flu. Again this year, there will be several opportunities for members of the UNC-Chapel Hill community to obtain a flu vaccination.
- Student Stores Pharmacy offers no-appointment flu vaccines for students, faculty and staff during operating hours (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.) The Student Stores Pharmacy is located on the third floor of Student Stores. Please bring a copy of your insurance card. Medicare plans are not accepted.
- Campus Health Pharmacy, located in the basement of Campus Health, offers walk-in flu vaccines for students, faculty and staff Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Please bring a copy of your insurance card. Medicare plans are not accepted.
- University Employee Occupational Health Clinic (UEOHC) offers flu vaccinations for University health care personnel (including the School of Medicine) and other personnel who are part of the Immunization Review Program. Flu vaccinations are available during walk-in hours from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays starting Aug. 28.
- Campus Walk-in Clinics will be offered at various locations across campus with no advance registration required. Please bring both your UNC One Card and health insurance card (Medicare plans are not accepted). To accelerate the on-site check-in process, you are encouraged to submit your health insurance information online at least 48 hours in advance of your preferred walk-in clinic date. All clinic times listed below are from noon-4 p.m., except the Oct. 17 Employee Appreciation Day event, which will run 10 a.m.-2 p.m.:
- Thursday, Sept. 25 – Genetic Medicine Research Building, Lobby
- Thursday, Oct. 2 – Michael Hooker Research Center, Lower-Level Atrium
- Thursday, Oct. 9 – Koury Oral Health Sciences Building, Atrium Lobby
- Friday, Oct. 17 – Frank Porter Graham Student Union (Employee Appreciation Day)
- Thursday, Oct. 23 – Genetic Medicine Research Building, Lobby
Most health insurance plans offer flu vaccinations with no copay. Please bring a copy of your insurance card. You will be billed for any out-of-pocket expense as determined by your insurance company. For those without insurance, flu vaccination is available for $45. If you do not obtain your flu vaccination on campus but obtain one through your primary care provider or at a community pharmacy or clinic, you can still self-report compliance on the EHS Flu Certification webpage. More information regarding UNC-Chapel Hill flu clinics and flu prevention is available at flu.unc.edu.
This year, the University is once again partnering with Alana’s Foundation in a national competition among universities. Anyone receiving a flu vaccination at an on-campus pharmacy or flu clinic will automatically have their vaccine counted for UNC-Chapel Hill.
COVID vaccines will also be offered at Student Stores Pharmacy and Campus Health Pharmacy once they become available.
