Join fellow faculty and staff for Employee Appreciation Day

All Carolina employees are invited to Employee Appreciation Day Oct. 17. The annual event gives faculty and staff the chance to enjoy free food, activities, giveaways and more as the Office of Human Resources thanks employees for their commitment and contributions throughout the year.

Employee Appreciation Day festivities will be held in and around the Frank Porter Graham Student Union and the Pit from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participation is free, and attendance is considered work time for staff. Supervisors and managers are encouraged to work with employees to allow attendance.

Here’s a look at the schedule and activities:

Hot breakfast in the Pit, 6:45-9 a.m.
Lunch in the Pit, 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m., all-American picnic featuring old-fashioned coleslaw, potato salad, kettle chips, beef hot dogs, grilled hamburgers with buns, black bean burgers and all the fixings — lettuce, diced onions, pickles, tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, mayo and relish — plus a sweet finish with assorted gourmet cookies
Flu vaccines with no appointment needed in the Student Union, room 2518A-B, starting at 10 a.m.

Expo featuring various schools, departments, local businesses and state agencies sharing their services and products – plenty of swag and goodies!
Games and inflatables, including Hippo Chow Down – an inflatable game version of Hungry, Hungry Hippo – and cornhole
