There's always something happening at Carolina, but the spring semester brings to a unique level of excitement.

Learn more about some of the University's favorite spring semester traditions.

    Every March for the past two decades, hundreds of students spend a night dancing inside Fetzer Gym for Dance Marathon. The event has raised nearly $6 million for the UNC Children’s Hospital over the 20 years.

    Carolina students turn Hooker Fields into a canvas of colors at the annual Holi Moli celebration. The event promotes multiculturalism and diversity at Carolina by celebrating the arrival of spring through the Hindu holiday of Holi.

    During Senior Week every April, members of the senior class hike up the 128 steps inside the bell tower to sign their name on bricks inside. The UNC General Alumni Association has been hosting the event since 2003.

    Undergraduate Research Symposium

    After months of hard work, hundreds of undergraduates showcase their research at the annual Celebration of Undergraduate Research.

  • Arts Everywhere Day

    In the spring, the arts move beyond the stage and museums for the annual Arts Everywhere Day. The event features live art events across campus from Franklin Street to South Campus.

  • LDOC

    From dancing in the Pit to relaxing on Polk Place, students celebrate the last day of classes with events and activities throughout campus.
