William Vaughn Moore

William Vaughn Moore believes in the impact that Carolina can have on the lives of his fellow Tar Heels. He is a devoted champion of student-athletes through his work on the executive board of The Rams Club and as an advisor to leaders at the University and in Athletics.

Moore is chairman and CEO of AIT Worldwide Logistics. Over the course of more than two decades at AIT, he led a leveraged buyout of the founders and guided the company through exponential growth, rising from vice president of sales and marketing to his current role as chairman and CEO. He has earned numerous accolades, including Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the Airforwarders Association’s Jim Foster Memorial Award for individuals who have made a significant contribution to the industry.

Moore has been a guiding force for the University, Carolina Athletics and The Rams Club. He provides Carolina students numerous internship opportunities, hires recent graduates and encourages other alumni to invest in their alma mater. He is passionate about helping the Chapel Hill/Carrboro community through his volunteer efforts with TABLE, working alongside Drake Maye and Sam Howell to deliver healthy food and nutrition education to children. He also actively devotes his time and resources to the American Cancer Society and the Center for Enriched Living.

Moore earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
