African Studies Center

About the Center

The staff and programs of the African Studies Center work to provide the University and the people of North Carolina with a campus hub for interdisciplinary inquiry and communication on Africa, including the sponsorship of a wide variety of activities that bring together interested faculty and students from a large number of academic disciplines, focusing on the interconnected issues of democratization, development, health, and gender. The African Studies Center is located in the FedEx Global Education Center on the UNC Campus and is part of the College of Arts and Sciences.
