Over the past decades, Carolina has developed and cultivated world-renowned scholarship and research in data science. We are now building upon that foundation by creating an innovative curriculum and research portfolio through the School of Data Science and Society to serve our students and community, the state of North Carolina and the nation.
Launched in 2022, the School of Data Science and Society is positioned to develop the world’s next data scientists and data literate citizens through undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs. The school’s focus on society will employ innovative ways to use foundational and translational data science for the public good.
