Our very own Dr. Sahar Amer has won the prestigious MLA's Aldo and Jeanne Scaglione Prize for Comparative Literary Studies for her book Crossing Borders: Love Between Women in Medieval French and Arabic Literatures (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2008). The prize is awarded annually for an outstanding scholarly work that is written by a member of the association and that involves at least two literatures, and is quite an honor. Congratulations, Sahar!
