A sunset serenade
The night before classes started for the year, students gathered on Polk Place for the annual Sunset Serenade.
A cappella groups at Carolina took center stage on Monday for Sunset Serenade, an annual concert held at Carolina the night before classes begin.
Students filled Polk Place to listen to the concert. When the concert ended, the crowd made their way to the Bell Tower relighting (in Carolina blue lights) to celebrate the new semester.
The Student Alumni Association sponsors Sunset Serenade, while the General Alumni Association hosts the Bell Tower Relighting.
