Person County partnership improves learning

Visit the Carolina Community Academy, a Carolina-led lab school serving students in Roxboro’s North Elementary School.

Carolina’s partnership with Person County Schools is helping raise reading and math proficiencies and bringing new experiences to students in a rural North Carolina area.

Carolina Community Academy, situated inside North Elementary School in Roxboro, is an innovative lab school serving lower elementary grades.

“At Carolina Community Academy, we’re proving that students can achieve and succeed,” said Principal Daniel Watson. “That’s what sets us apart – having the University back us.”
