NY Times columnist Frank Bruni addresses the Class of 2020

New York Times columnist and Carolina graduate Frank Bruni shares an inspiring message with members of the Class of 2020 and lets them know that America needs them.

New York Times columnist and Carolina alumnus Frank Bruni was scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the Class of 2020 Commencement ceremony this spring.

While the ceremony has been postponed to a later date because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bruni took time to record a short, inspiring message to the graduates, and he let them know we are counting on them.

“Now, more than ever, North Carolina needs you. America needs you,” he said. “We need your determination. We need your optimism. We need your big brains. We need your big hearts.”
