After five days of competition in San Diego, Carolina women’s tennis found itself as the last team standing in both the singles and doubles 2023 ITA Fall Championships.

To begin the day, Reese Brantmeier defeated Ayana Akli (2-6, 6-2, 7-5) of South Carolina to clinch the singles championship.

An hour later, Brantmeier returned to the court to partner with Elizabeth Scotty in the doubles championship. The duo defeated (6-1, 6-2) Ange Oby Kajuru and Anastasiya Komar of Oklahoma State to win the title and sweep the prestigious event.

Carolina now shifts its focus to the 2024 indoor season beginning in January.
