Thank you, Chancellor Folt

'A chorus of gratitude'

This week, Carol L. Folt will step down as chancellor of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, after nearly six years of leadership.

Folt set the course for Carolina's future with the Blueprint for Next, launched a $4.25 billion fundraising campaign, worked to make college education accessible for all North Carolinians and inspired thousands of Tar Heels to embrace the arts.

Watch and listen as members of the Carolina community come together to thank Folt for her service to the University.

A lasting legacy

Folt prepares to move on to her ‘new and next’

“As I thought about all we had accomplished in achieving the vision I had for Carolina, I knew it was the right time for me to pass the leadership of our outstanding University to the next chancellor and look ahead for my own ‘new and next.’”
