  As the fall semester gets underway, Interim Chancellor Kevin Guskiewicz welcomes Tar Heels back to campus.

  With boxes and suitcases in tow, thousands of undergraduate students began moving into residence halls Aug. 16. The move-in marked the start of a busy week that will help new Tar Heels get to know the campus, build community, make new friends and prepare for classes.

  The students represent the most geographically diverse and globally engaged group to enroll at Carolina.

  The Carolina community will welcome more than 7,000 new students to campus this week. With the fall semester right around the corner, campus is buzzing again.
