Carolina to host its giving day April 9

This year the University is joining together with alumni, students, staff, parents and friends to share stories of impact, meet matching-gift challenges and help spread the word about why it’s always a Great Day to be a Tar Heel.

On April 9, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will mark GiveUNC — its second annual University-wide giving day. Your support helps current and future Tar Heels and the citizens UNC-Chapel Hill serves, in the state and around the world. Every gift makes a difference.

“Every day, students, faculty and staff are changing what is possible and collaborating to solve the grand challenges of our time. GiveUNC unites us all in this incredible opportunity to celebrate and invest our own resources in our university’s impact that stretches from North Carolina to the world,” said Interim Chancellor Kevin M. Guskiewicz.

Last year on GiveUNC, more than 3,600 Tar Heels joined together to show their love for Carolina by supporting the causes that mattered most to them. This year the University is joining together with alumni, students, staff, parents and friends to share stories of impact, meet matching-gift challenges and help spread the word about why it’s always a great day to be a Tar Heel.

Whether you’re on campus and can stop by the GiveUNC celebration in the Pit, or you’re tracking the day’s progress on the GiveUNC website or via social media at #GiveUNC, the University hopes you’ll join Tar Heels around the world for 24 hours of celebrating everything that makes Carolina special to you.
