Thank you for your interest in Carolina! Graduate tours begin at UNC Visitors’ Center and last 1 – 1.5 hours. The tour introduces the campus and community to prospective graduate students and includes a packet of information on housing, dining, recreation and life in Chapel Hill. The tour does not visit individual departments, so please direct questions about your program of interest or meetings with potential professors and/or advisors to the specific department.
No tours are scheduled on UNC holidays when campus offices are closed or during student breaks, exam periods and University-wide events such as December and spring commencements.
Use the form below to request a tour.
UNC graduate students lead the tours. Family and significant others are encouraged to join us!
However, as we concentrate on rescheduling tour times and staff for the fall semester, graduate tours will not be held from August 16 – September 1. During this time we encourage you to come to UNC Visitors’ Center for guidance, insight and access as well as information packets and orientation to campus – which will make a self-guided tour of campus more meaningful.
When you request a tour, please allow Visitors’ Center staff 24 hours to send a confirmation email.
