There are no guided tours from April 26 – May 23 since our students are in exams or involved in graduation. During this time, we encourage you to still plan to visit UNC Visitors’ Center as staff will provide insight, access, guidance, orientation to campus as well as the information packet– which will make the self-guided tour brochure more meaningful and finding your specific department quick and easy.
Tours for graduate students (current, potential and pending) interested in graduate or professional schools are available throughout the summer, on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. (No tours are scheduled on weekends, during exams, during breaks or holidays.)
Mondays at 9:30 a.m.
Thursdays at 4 p.m.
Fridays at 4 p.m.
Tours begin at UNC Visitors’ Center and last 1 – 1.5 hours. The tour is led by a Carolina graduate student, introduces the campus and the community and includes a review of helpful information on housing, dining, recreation and life in Chapel Hill as a graduate student. The tour does not visit specific programs, so please contact the department with questions about your program or to request to meet with professors and/or advisors. Check the department’s website for the appropriate program contact.
Please do allow 24 –48 hours for a confirmation email. If you need a faster response, please call UNC Visitors’ Center at 919-962-1630 during regular office hours of 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
We look forward to showing you our campus and sharing life as a Carolina graduate student with you!
